8 Outfits of Personal Style

It has become a tradition that my friend Angwi and I take #ootd pictures for Instagram almost everyday at school. It has become one of my favorite parts of the day. One thing I am learning about my style is that I like loose, oversized clothing. I like to be comfortable. I used to be the girl who needed to belt everything, but now I just find it restricting! I like to be able to breath and feel easy and confident in what I am wearing. Lately I’ve been attracted to tomboy-inspired looks, or a sporty vibe. In the past I was never a huge sneaker fan… but I’ve been wearing them with dresses and skirts– creating a  juxtaposition. I do like to incorporate femininity into what I wear, usually it’s with a statement lip, fancy earrings, or fun color and print. My Mom’s always complaining I am in her closet too much… but I didn’t realize until uploading this post how much I truly do borrow from her! Almost everything I am wearing below …

Modeling For Venue Magazine

I had set my alarm for 7am, but was alert and up by 5. Why? Because I was going to be shooting my very first magazine cover and editorial spread. I was anxious, excited, and so so ready. My day began at 9am and ended around 5pm.  Time flew. After getting my hair and makeup done at a super fancy salon (they offered me cucumber water and had sinks with chairs attached that laid you flat on your back with the press of a button, making it comfortable for you and the stylist who’s washing your hair), we headed over to a local conservatory which is a nationally recognized showcase of more than 3,500 plant species from around the world… It was beautiful! This was the location for the cover shot. While the other model was getting her pictures taken, I received touchups to my hair and makeup and slipped into my first look, featuring a bright pink Escada jacket (roughly $1,500!). It was my turn. I was given the advice to be “dynamic.” A thousand …
