Destructed Elegance

Tops: TjMaxx  Vest/Necklace: Forever21  Jeans: J-Brand   Shoes: Friedmans I balanced destructed jeans with a flowy top and feminine jewelry. I love gold jewelry and I wear it about 95% of the time over silver. There’s something about it that I am drawn to. It seems to go well with any outfit! What do you prefer? Gold or Silver?

Wordle

Have you ever heard of Wordle.net? I haven’t until recently. Wordle is a way to generate “word clouds” from a provided text. Words that appear more frequently in the text will be larger in your word cloud. You can even tweak it by playing with the fonts, colors and layouts! In Studio Art we have to create a few of these for homework. Here’s one I created based off of words from Inexpensive Chic! Cool, huh? Go play around with it!

New Day, New Beginnings

My favorite breakfast is nutella, spread over a warm english muffin; topped with fresh fruit and accompanied by either a tall glass of orange juice or a health smoothie. Seriously. It’s delicious. I am sure if this isn’t your first time visiting my blog you’ve noticed some changes. The heading/logo is different, the background has changed and the color scheme is new. I felt like it was time for a change! I like that this background is still clean, but with a more homey feel. What do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback 🙂 Have a relaxing Sunday.

What I Wore Today + What I am Currently Reading

Today was pretty relaxing. I woke up, did my chores, and ran a few errands basically. I did go to see Footloose, which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to see a good movie! After the movie I got an ice cream cone: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream with cookie dough in a waffle cone. Mmmm. My outfit was fairly low-key and super comfy. I am wearing  a loose knit sweater (Forever21), harem pants (Atlanta Mart) and black ankle booties (Nine West). I also thought I’d share some of the books and magazines I’ve been reading. One thing about me is that I am always reading; it’s rare to find me without a book or a magazine in my hands. Lately I’ve been into fashion books. I buy them on Amazon, thrift stores, etc. every chance I get! Not only do they enrich my knowledge of fashion and provide a great source of inspiration, but they make great coffee table decor as well! My favorite fashion magazines are Glamour, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen and Instyle.
