Being a beautiful woman on a daily basis can be hard work. From the moment we get up to the moment we go to bed, we are applying, brushing, shading, moisturising and coloring different parts of our bodies. All in the name of looking and feeling good. It can take up a lot of time and energy. There are useful “hacks” you can use to make your beauty regime that bit easier. Some of them require different uses of everyday objects to changing your technique when applying make up. I’ve compiled some of the best ones and placed them in a list below. Read on to change your beauty regime today!
- Reducing puffy eyes
If you frequently wake up with puffy and irritated eyes, you could use top quality skin care products to reduce them. An alternative technique would be holding two cold tea bags under your eyes for around five minutes. This will not only depuff your eyes, it will also tighten up your under-eye skin.
- Concealer triangles
If you want to know how to get brighter looking eyes, this is one seriously easy trick. Most people tend to put their concealer on in a moon shape underneath the eyes. In actual fact, it’s better to achieve a brighter eye area and lifted complexion by drawing a triangle shape instead. Just make sure you do plenty of blending.
- Bobby pins
The bobby pin is a useful and versatile tool if you know how to use it correctly. If you find your pins constantly slide out of your hair, try turning them upside down. The waved edge will create friction with the hair and provide you with more grip. Do you ever wear your hair in a high ponytail, but feel it loses its height after a few hours? Insert two or three bobby pins onto your hair band making sure they are vertical. Then pull your hair over the pins to use them as support. This will give your ponytail some height and stops it from sagging. If you need help follow this tutorial.
- Creating the perfect cat eye
There are many different hacks and tips for achieving a perfect feline look. My favourite one is using a household spoon. Gently place the spoon onto the corner of your eye and use its curved edges to create a winged effect. Repeat the same shape onto your other eye. You can place a marker on the spoon to help you line it up equally each side. Finish the look by continuing the line across each of your lashlines. Perfect eyeliner every time!
- Reviving your mascara
If you’re tight for cash and in need of a new mascara why not give this a try. If your favourite mascara is under three months old, you can add a few drops of a simple saline solution to revive it, making it last longer. This will re-wet the contents and makes it reusable.
Every woman will have her own beauty tricks and techniques and it will differ from person to person. Give these a try and see if they work for you.
