Kendra Thornton, a well-known travel expert who has been featured on news channels and television shows such as Tyra Banks and Nate Berkus, recently reached out to me and a few of her other favorite fashion bloggers with a styling challenge:
“My family and I will be going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando this year. I am looking forward to spending personal time with my husband and our three young children. Recently, I have created ‘Kendra’s Fashion Challenge’! I need some fashion help before our family vacation, and I have exclusively invited some fashion expert bloggers for help. [I’m looking for the right accessories] and appeal that will give me a fantastic look [for] Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I really enjoy Niyah’s style and i know she will find the right look for me!”
She went on to say, “One such place that we will be experiencing is a Kilimanjaro Safari. We are looking forward to having a guided tour as we explore African wildlife.”
This was a style challenge I could not pass up! Take a look below at the looks I’ve chosen for Kendra OR click here to shop the looks yourself.
Slip on a t-shirt dress and you won’t have to worry about much else. This is a great “no-brainer” outfit. Just add a few minimal accessories to tie the look together. Comfy sandals are a plus for lots of walking, and a packable tote expands to provide extra storage when you need it, while crisp graphics provide an eye-catching finish.
This outfit is the next step up from jeans and a t-shirt without sacrificing comfort. Opt for an easy, breezy tank in a fun print and pair with your favorite denim shorts. A baseball cap keeps the sun out of your face (how cool is that giraffe print? Perfect for the Animal Kingdom!) and allows for minimal hair styling.
There’s nothing that says warm weather like a pair of white denim pants. Pair yours with a simple striped t-shirt and a cross body bag. Since you’ll be walking around a lot, you want to keep your look minimalistic.
If you happen to spend one of your nights at a fancy restaurant, why not give this look a try! Midi skirts are a huge trend this Spring/Summer and the brocade screams luxuriousness.
Another option for an evening look begins with a bold printed crop pant. Sticking with the blue in the pant, I chose a lighter shade for a sweater (it tends to get chilly at night) as well as a bib necklace in an ice-blue tone. The lavender clutch juxtaposes the blue, but compliments it all the same.
For a more relaxed evening look pair your favorite LDB with a loose fitted cardigan. This look is effortlessly chic.
